Karan Johar has a penchant for gossip and stirring up a hornet’s nest with his latest film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.
Actress Deepika Padukone, who is sharing screen space with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”(YJHD), says the actor is possessive about her. In fact, the trailer of the film had a dialogue which says, “If I have to spend 2 more minutes with you, I will fall in love with you all over again”.
Karan Johar was the media’s delight. He kept pulling Ayan’s leg, who maintained a low profile. For the first time we saw Ranbir Kapoor almost flare up at one of the cheeky journos who pointed fingers at his ex-flame. The journo bitchily quizzed Deepika if she would resort to any other gimmicks like the tattoo stunt during her first film promotion starring Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir supported Deepika and took hold of the mike. He categorically mentioned that “what has transpired is done with. We have moved in life and Deepika has her personal life. The tattoo was a personal moment which shouldn’t be misinterpreted as a publicity stunt”. All along, Deepika kept mum but somehow the love between the two ex-flames was very much evident. The sleepy snow laden picturesque locales of the hill town of Manali have come alive with the arrival of the film unit of YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI from the house of the prestigious Dharma Productions.
Starring the ‘again’ hot couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, the film has been making headlines ever since its announcement as it marks the return to the silver screen of the popular ‘jodi’ after a high profile break up.
The Ayan Mukerji directed film is the first major film to be shot in Manali after Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai’s ACTION REPLAYY (although quite a few smaller budgeted and regional films have been shot) and has generated much excitement amongst the tourists and locals, who have been waiting endlessly to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars, but to no avail.
Amidst much security and secrecy, major stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin participated in the shooting in and around the hill town and also amongst the pristine snow laded Hamta Peak.
Our Sources in Manali tell us that the whole unit is residing in Ambassador Resorts and that the director Ayan Mukerji has confirmed that they have an outdoor schedule of around a week in Manali, though the time limit may be extended if weather plays spoil sport.
Just for the information of our patrons, actor Aamir Khan too had stayed in Ambassador Resort during his Manali visit while shooting for GHULAM.
