If everything goes well then very soon we will get to see a unique pair romancing each other on-screen. In this successful journey, Katrina Kaif has been paired opposite many rocking stars of Bollywood but this time she is paired opposite such an actor working opposite whom is said to be a lifetime opportunity. Yes, it is right we will get to see Katrina Kaif romancing Amitabh Bachchan on-screen.
‘Patiala House’ and ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ director Nikhil Advani has approached the diva and the megastar to star opposite each other for a highly unconventional role in his next film ‘Mehrunnisa’.
Nikhil Advani has approached Kat to play this challenging role. If she accepts the offer then it would be a challenge for the diva whose acting caliber always questioned.
Throwing light on the role that the actress will be portraying, it is learnt that she will be playing a 20 year old woman whose life will be followed till she turns 60.
A source said, “Nikhil is adamant on having Katrina on board. He even flew to London just to be able to narrate the film to her. The final call will be taken when Kat returns to Mumbai.”
First time Kat will be cast opposite an actor much older to her but Big B already experienced to romance a young girl. He was cast opposite Jiah Khan in ‘Nishabd’.
Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar’s lovemaking news aired on March 12 is still hitting the headlines. Audiences, critics expressed their views to the first ever smooch scene on Indian television. Some liked it and some highly criticized the bold scene aired on the prime time. However, Jeetendra and Tusshar Kapoor defended Ekta Kapoor for taking such bold steps.
Defending his daughter, Jeetendra said, “Actually, I really liked that romance. People might have considered it too much but I found it subtle. If a husband and a wife meet after six months, then it is bound to happen. But whatever happened was subtle. There was nothing vulgar in it. I found it alright.”
Ekta Kapoor’s brother Tusshar Kapoor defended his sister saying, “I don’t think people really like decent serials because people point fingers at decent serials as well. I think it is important to break certain norms; only then people will appreciate decency. Critics are never happy and whatever people like and appreciate is within limits.”
However, Ekta has broken the tattoo of the TV which has received mixed reviews.
She has given every Indian a reason to be proud. Hers is the face that launched a thousand products both in India and in the international circuit. Her beauty and popularity crosses geo-political boundaries. That’s Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the Queen of Hearts, the new celebrity mother in town, and one of the contenders on BIG CBS Love’s India’s Glam Diva who is basking in her new challenging role.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan continues to be the most watched & talked about star in the industry. Her marriage, pregnancy, motherhood, first public appearance post motherhood… every move has the entire nation wanting to know more. There’s nothing about Aishwarya that is a secret from her admirers. Yet we bring some excerpts from some commonly asked questions to her:
On why she participated in the Miss World Pageant in 1994:
For me, it went beyond being a beauty queen. For me, it was about being the 20-year-old girl from India on international platform and a lot of people actually would assume that I wasn’t even educated in India because of the way I’d speak. And they’d be like, ‘Have you studied in India? Do you actually speak English out there?’ and, I was like, ‘This is so interesting that so many people know so little about my country.’ and this is exactly what I wanted to do when I set out on this little mission in my head.”
On her moving from architecture to films:
I was studying to be an architect. I wasn’t plotting to join movies. Films were just another career option. I took acting up with the same school girl enthusiasm as I had for examinations. Acting is a job and I take it seriously.
Playing UMRAO JAAN:
It was a demanding emotional journey. When a story takes that course it is following an entire arch, it goes through all possible emotions. The process was satisfying, inspiring and challenging. It forced me to deliver my best.
On her character in DHOOM: 2:
It’s the kind of character I have never essayed before. Sunehiri, my character in the film, is distinctly different from any other character you have seen me play. That’s what makes her exciting to me. For the first time in my life I went through a bit of a fitness regime. Contrary to popular belief, right since modeling, to the (Miss World) title, to films, I have never been a fitness freak or exercised.
On donating her eyes:
I’m just average woman with average concerns. People know me more because of my eyes. So, I decided to donate my eyes. But before that, I acquired all the information about the campaign. Within what time after death one has to donate eyes, and all other information. Only then I decided to donate my eyes. It’s not that just for doing something, I donated my eyes. I found that useful so I did it. I like to do social service from my heart. Whatever is possible I do, but I don’t speak about that. However, I would like to give more time to it in the near future.
On being on the list of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the world:
It’s undoubtedly an honor. It feels great that I was a part of this remarkable group.
On being voted as the most beautiful Bollywood star in Hollywood:
Wow! The most bankable Bollywood star in Hollywood! Thank you. I must confess that any acknowledgement of hard work makes me feel content. In all humility I want to thank all those who feel I am bankable.
An FIR against Genelia D’Souza and five others has been ordered by Hyderabad court following a complaint lodged by Mr. Tirupataiah. In his complaint, Mr. Tirupataiah said that he has paid Rs. 54 lakhs to construct a duplex house at Maheswaram mandal on the outskirts of the city to the five directors of a real-estate firm as well as its brand ambassador- Genelia.
Mr. Tirupataiah paid the money for the construction of his duplex house in 2008 but till date it has not been done. “Being the brand ambassador of the firm, Genelia also made false promises through advertisements and brochures and cooperated with other accused in cheating,” the plot buyers Tirupathaiah’s counsel Balaji Vadera claimed.
Following the complaint, the court directed Saifabad police to inquire the matter and also to register a case against Genelia and five others for cheating under relevant sections of IPC. The court has asked all the five to submit a report by March 27.
The scam is reportedly of a whopping Rs.250 crores. There has been no reaction from Genelia’s side.
Director Vikram Bhatt started his career with clean entertaining films like JAANAM, FAREB etc. and then moved to all out commercial ventures such as AAP MUJHE ACHHE LAGNE LAGE, GHULAM, AWARA PAGAL DEEWANA, and was pretty successful here too, but he soon changed tracks and shifted his attention to a genre that is as safe as a house, horror and suspense/thriller.
With his last directorial venture, HAUNTED 3D, going on to achieve a blockbuster status, all eyes are now focused on his latest production venture, HATE STORY, directed by Vivek Agnihotri and starring Gulshan Devaiya, Nikhil Dwivedi and above all the hot and sensational Paoli Dam. Her daring bare back act and no holds barred dialogue delivery as well as spontaneity and confidence, and a figure to die for, remind many of Bipasha Basu‘s early days of JISM and RAAZ.
The bold theatrical trailer of the film has created quite a stir, and has evoked contrasting reactions from cine goers. Some have been mighty impressed by the bold and sexually explicit scenes and dialogues in the film, others feel quite revolted by the ‘in your face’ erotic thriller.
However, one thing is clear from the promo and that is that Vikram Bhatt has another winner on hands. And the reason is that the film looks like an ‘edge-of-the-seat’ erotic thriller, with a powerful story and a highly engaging screenplay, one that never slackens pace. Additionally, it also has power packed performances from its lead stars, as is evident from the trailer, and the latest Bengali beauty from Tollywood, Paoli Dam, looks smoking hot and highly confident.
Well, as we have seen in the past, bold thrillers like JISM, MURDER and MURDER 2 have been lapped up by the audience, and so there is no reason why the same cannot happen with HATE STORY. In fact trade is very upbeat about its box-office performance and it’s just a matter of a month, April 20 to be precise when the film releases all over!

(An excerpt from my interview done with Rohhit Verma for a Dubai magazine)
According to Oscar Wilde, “Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” What is your connotation about fashion?
Fashion is definitely not ugly or intolerable. We all dress to look classy, upbeat and part of the happening crowd. I agree that your fashion style should be comfortable, but definitely it has to be unique and different to be noticed. How else would you stand out in a crowd if you were dressed in shabby salwars. Yes we have to alter it every six months. Don’t we do the same with our food habits (although not necessarily wait for that long a period)? Imagine having a biryani as your staple food diet for 365 days, 24 x 7. You would go sick (of the biryani and your eating habits) and see hallucinating nightmares with biryani pots. We all need to experiment with continental food and pastas to tickle our taste buds.
One needs to explore and experiment with new fashion trends. Fashion creates positive energy overtones based on what you are wearing. The positive energy helps liven your mood and people around you find you pleasing and acceptable. However wearing a loud and bright color to work may emit a negative energy which puts people off.

Rohhit Verma has finally arrived in grandeur, style and great elan. His latest fashion LAS VEGAS which also co-incided with his birthday saw the dawn of a new era for the designer. He has evolved with an elegance that is superfluous and totally glam.
Seeping with his innate belief in Lord Krishna, one can’t help but find mystifying symbolisms in Rohit’s personal life spectrum. While the baansuri wala played music and enthralled his well-wishers, Rohit has been spreading and painting his playful palette with ingenuous designs. He, too, has dared to be different (and facing the flak figuratively) and almost nonchalantly apathetic to society norms. What appears blatant and hallucinatingly sacrosanct or almost devilishly scandalizing to others is a natural course of living for this eclectic designer. Rohit has chosen to break all barriers, surmount all upheavals in life, faced the brunt of harsh criticism despite being a do-gooder all the way. Being scandalous or controversial has never been his destination, that’s the path and mesmerizing flavor of his life.
