Sidharth Shukla — Who Bossed Television — Dies Of Heart Attack At 40

Mumbai: Sidharth Shukla model-turned-actor who ruled Indian television with his performances in Balika Vadhu and recently by winning Bigg Boss 13, died at 10:30 AM Thursday morning. In a statement, Mumbai’s Cooper hospital confirmed the news and termed heart attack as the reason for his death  He was 40.  “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” the senior Cooper Hospital official was quoted as saying by the Press Trust of India.

Sidharth Shukla is survived by his mother and two sisters. Hospital sources said he took some medicine before sleeping and didn’t wake up. Later, the hospital confirmed that he passed away due to a heart attack.

Following the news of Sidharth Shukla’s death, his Bigg Boss co-contestant Himanshi Khurana took to Twitter expressing shock and wrote, “Oh my God. It’s hard to believe. RIP Sidharth Shukla.”

Sidharth Shukla made his acting debut with the television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He later won everyone’s heart with Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi, Love U Zindagi. His role in Balika Vadhu was widely loved. He had also participated in reality shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7.

Sidharth rose to a success spree after he won the 13th season of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss. His chemistry in the show with Shehnaaz Gill made headlines. Recently, Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill also featured in the dance reality show Dance Deewane.
