Direction

Jayant Gilatar does a shoddy job with the subject. As a director, he hasn’t spotted the shoddy make-up of actors like Juhi, Shabana and Divya Dutta. On the other hand, Richa Chadda look immaculate and perfect.

The film talks about issues which have already been spoken about in the media. The emotions are lack lustre, the scenes amateurish. There are no directorial punches. Juhi Chawla’s monologue scenes could have some impactful dialogues. The tempo and pitch of the quiz session with Rishi Kapoor fails to evoke the punch required for a climax sequence.

Acting

Shabana Azmi outshines in her scenes. Divya Dutta does a great job. A strong character and prolific player, Richa Chadda’s character is the game changer. Juhi Chawla is repetitive and has nothing new to offer.

Lyrics

Javed Akhtar’s lyrics are a let-down.

Box-office Rating

Mediocre success is predicted although the film had a lot of buzz created. Despite having stalwarts like Shabana, Divya and Richa, the script fails to tingle any emotions.
