Bollywood film review – Angry Indian Goddesses  Entertaining, Engaging Eye-opener Rating 4.5

What’s it all about?

A bachelorette set to destroy romcoms, India is all set to get its first all-out female buddy film, Angry Indian Goddesses. Helming the project is the internationally-acclaimed filmmaker Pan Nalin, who is best known for his award-winning documentaries and the Indie film Samsara.

Angry Indian Goddesses that marks Nalin’s debut in mainstream Bollywood, boasts of an impressive line-up including Sandhya Mridul, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sarah-Jane Dias, Anushka Manchanda, Amrit Maghera, Rajshri Deshpande, Pavleen Gujral and is being produced by Gaurav Dhingra, who has earlier co-produced Peddlers among many other noted films.

Jungle Book Entertainment, co-founded by Nalin and Gaurav, with a strong slate of international films, is now entering the mainstream Bollywood space with AIG.

Direction:

Pan Nilan’s direction and story-telling style is SUPERFLUOUS. There’s never a moment of boredom. You will love every scene which has been creatively shot.

Acting:

Sandhya Mridul, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Sarah-Jane Dias, Anushka Manchanda, Amrit Maghera, Rajshri Deshpande, Pavleen Gujral have been perfectly cast.

Each one has their wow moments which makes them shine with their histrionics.

Story:

Mind-blowing. It touches various aspects of the problems which the woman of today faces. Instant acceptable solutions are provided which make it more interesting.

Box-office rating:

The film business will pick up with word-of-mouth. The female audiences will throng the multiplexes.
