The week started with a bang of fashion and style and unveiled the current and grandiose fashion collection. ‘Mod’Art International’ the French Fashion School is the sister concern of Mod ‘art Paris, a premium Parisian fashion school, hosted their Annual Fashion Show with their most dazzling collections by their ardent students. The breathtaking assortment was brought to display in the Annual Graduating Fashion Show on the 13th of May 2014 in the thick of serenity and tranquility of Hotel Sea Princess. The models walked the runway in the inventive and crisp collections designed by the students themselves. The presentation gives the students a platform to put forward their creative energies and a glimpse of the real fashion world.
The exquisite evening showcased 165 garments creatively designed by the talented students. These budding designers have put in immense hard work and dedication to put together this stylish soiree full of glamour and fashion. From the venue, to the budding designers and the organizers, everything seemed like a well rehearsed and worked up composition. The collections were worth a huge applause, highly inspiring and worth a watch.
The pomp was graced with the presence of eminent personalities from the film and fashion industry. Fashion divas like Simran Kaur Mundi, Hazel Keech, Shibani Kashyap along with Archana Kochhar, Shane and Falguni Peacock, Gavin Miguel, Shaheen Abbas, Shamita Singha and Mashoom Singha were seen enjoying the zealous collection by the students. The students were also felicitated with accolades for their conduct through the academic year.
The show presents an amalgamation of mesmerizing themes by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students. Kick starting with the collection of the 1st year students, Cosmos- A Static Illusion presents garments inspired by the Universe and based on motion in space. The show advances with the display of collection by the 2nd year students, Metamorphosis- A Dream Escape, the theme explores the metamorphosis of the human body in different shapes and forms.
The show further graduates with the garment presentation by the 3rd year students which exhibits a bunch of diverse and dazzling collections with themes revolving around concepts like independent women, fashion from mid 90’s, simplicity, magic realism, garments for various occasions, psychedelic apparels, strength and holiness of koi & dragon, attire representing sins, elegant and stylish modesty of women, modern and Indian architecture, Victorian era, geometric shapes, structures and curves, power of gods and their representation in nature, feminity and glory of goddess, collection inspired from snakes and its different representations.
The evening culminated with a vote of thanks to their sponsors, hospitality partner Hotel Sea Princess, fashion retailers Raymond Ltd, Mini Cooper Infinity Cars, hair stylist Asif the Salon, makeup artist Marvie Ann Beck Academy, alcohol partner Signature, Mayash Interior Designs & La Maison Service Apartments.
The Fashion Show was full of zeal and an event which presented the finest and striking collection by budding designers. So, let’s laud the inception of ambitious designers in the world of fashion!!!
