SAVE AND EMPOWER THE GIRL CHILD STAR STUDDED FASHION SHOW

Mumbaikars from all walks of life well and truly stood up for the noble cause and the initiative taken up by Doctors of the Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre to Save and empower the girl child. It was a glittering function at the J.W. Marriott, Juhu with Mumbai’s crème de la crème in attendance and none other than Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen as the show stopper for a spectacular fashion show with outfits by Manish Malhotra.

 

Dr. Hrishikesh Pai, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Chetan Mehta, Trustee, Lilavati Hospital and the core committee members which included Dr. Kiran Coelho, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar and Dr. Rishma Pai were in great spirits as Bollywood actresses like Neha Dhupia and Dipannita Sharma walked the ramp for this special cause. Kajol, the chief guest for the evening, observed that her father never for a moment regretted the fact that he did not have a son. Poonam Dhillon, Maria Goretti, Nisha Jamvwal , Alka Yagnik, Mandira Bedi , Padmini Kolhapure, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Shaina N.C., Poonam Mahajan were amongst the other prominent personalities who walked the ramp on this chosen day.

Poonam Dhillon coordinated the entire show for the Doctors of the Lilavati Hospital and research centre and also anchored the evening. Also Spotted in the audience were Ashish Choudhary and Rhea PillaiLeander Paes waxed eloquent about the role of a woman in a man’s life be it a mother, sister or daughter. But it was Sushmita Sen who had everybody spellbound with her touching address and her experience of having two daughters as a single parent. Now we know what it takes to be a Miss Universe, Kudos Sushmita Sen!!!
